Privacy Statement

The Excellence Manifesto is a call to action. It was written by The Business Excellence Institute. The protection of Personal Data (see below) is of great importance to us and we take it very seriously - anything else would be nothing like excellence. As a result, we wish to make it very clear that any information you share with us via this website, with the exception of contact information and optional identity verification data, will be publicly available, in particular, on this website. We will not, however, share your contact information with anyone save as may be required by law.

This website

This website, ExcellenceManifesto.com, is the platform on which the Excellence Manifesto is published and on which people and organizations may sign the Manifesto, committing to excellence and adding their names to the call for action. Through this website, we collect and process Personal Data (information related to an individual that can be used to identify a person) in line with the General Data Protection Regulation and all applicable data protection laws (together "Data Protection Laws"). To sign the Excellence Manifesto, you are obliged to agree to the principles described in this Privacy Statement and to give permission for use of your Personal Data as outlined. You are not obliged to sign the Manifesto or to give us any data. The legal basis for collecting and processing the data you provide (to the extent that it is to be considered Personal Data) is legitimate interests, which arise from the fact that otherwise this website cannot fulfil its core purpose for which people sign the Excellence Manifesto.

Where we store and process your data

Your data will be stored and processed in the European Economic Area ("EEA"). Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will always endeavour to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will protect it using appropriate measures designed to prevent unauthorised access.

Sharing data

Except as required by law, your contact data will not be shared with anyone. The other data will be publicly available, in particular, on this website.

Duration of data retention

As the intent of the Excellence Manifesto is to build commitment and strive always for improvement for all, a key element is a permanent record of all those that have signed the Manifesto. We will keep your Personal Data for as long as necessary for the above purposes, which may therefore be indefinitely. The appropriateness of this will be reviewed on a periodic basis and data will be deleted once no longer relevant.

Your rights

• Right of Access - If you have submitted personal data to us, you have the right to request a copy of the personal data about you that we have stored.
• Right to Rectification – You have the right to have any inaccurate Personal Data which we hold about you updated or corrected.
• Right to Object – You have a right to object at any time to the processing of your Personal Data where we process your Personal Data on the legal basis of pursuing our legitimate interests.
• Right to Restriction of Processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict processing in situations where; you contest the accuracy of your Personal Data; where the processing is unlawful and you do not want us to delete your Personal Data; where we no longer need your Personal Data for the purposes of processing but you require the data in relation to a legal claim; or where you have objected to us processing your Personal Data pending verification as to whether or not our legitimate interests override your interests or in connection with legal proceedings.
• Right to Erasure – We are happy to correct any mistakes in the data you have provided us or, should you wish, to remove your name from the Manifesto signatories and delete your personal data.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with us and/or your local data protection authority.

Changes to this statement

This privacy statement will be regularly reviewed and may be amended and updated from time to time as considered appropriate.
